Why prefer organic cotton products over classic cotton?

• conventional cotton cultivation has a negative impact on the environment and farmers
• cotton fields occupy less than 3% of the world's arable land, but consume about 25% of all insecticides and 10% of all herbicides
• chemicals that are banned in food production are used extensively for cotton cultivation
• cotton is one of the most genetically modified plants, especially to tolerate above-average doses of chemicals
• about half a kilo of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers are used to make one T-shirt and one jeans
• in the cultivation and production of organic cotton, the use of toxic chemicals that cause poisoning of agricultural workers and damage to the environment, as well as genetically modified organisms, is prohibited

• organic cotton is grown alternately with other types of plants, farmers grow 70-90% of rain irrigation during cultivation

It is a guarantee that the clothing was created using procedures that are friendly to the nature and health of all people, including a fair approach and reward for the people who participated in its production. GOTS prohibits the use of genetically modified crops (GMOs) in cultivation and allows the use of only harmless fertilizers.
