Materials
Wool (85%)
Wool is an animal fiber that can be spun into yarn or fabric. It is most commonly associated with sheep’s wool, but can be also wool from other animals. Wool has many benefits over other fibers. It is warm, absorbent, fire-resistant, durable and clothing produce from wool is odorless. The use of wool dates back to the Stone Age, when early humans first began domesticating sheep. Sheep were originally bred for their meat and milk, but early humans quickly realized that their fleece could be used to make clothing and blankets. The use of wool spread throughout the world as different cultures developed their own methods of spinning and weaving it into fabric. Today, wool is still widely used in a variety of applications. It is commonly used in winter clothing because it insulates against cold weather better than any other fiber. Woolen fabrics are also popular for suits, slacks, coats, and dresses due to their wrinkle-resistance and durability.
Cotton (11%)
Cotton is currently the most popular natural fiber. Cotton fabrics and clothing are characterized by durability, breathability and do not irritate the skin. It often occurs in admixture with synthetic materials that add flexibility to it (eg elastane).
Polyester (4%)
Polyester is the most widely used synthetic fiber in the textile industry. Polyester clothing is durable and flexible. The most commonly used type of polyester is PET fibers, which is also used to make plastic bottles. A new trend is clothing made from recycled PET bottles.

Woolen quilted blankets
Soft and fluffy quilted blankets filled with sheep's wool ensure the most amazing sleep.
Why choose a blanket made of sheep's wool?
- excellent insulating properties guarantee an immediate feeling of warmth
- natural wool perfectly absorbs moisture
- wool is breathable and allows good air circulation
- practical stitching ensures that the wool stays in place
- thanks to the structure of the wool fiber containing lanolin, dust and mites are not retained in the wool
- bacteria do not reproduce well in wool and are therefore also suitable for allergy sufferers
How to choose a wool blanket?
- all year round blankets use the thermal regulating properties of wool to ensure that you are not too hot in the summer and warm in the winter. They are suitable for use from spring to autumn and in warmer bedrooms throughout the winter.
- winter wool blankets contain up to 40% more wool than year-round blankets and ensure comfort even in a very cold bedroom
- an important parameter in the selection is the wool content. By reducing the wool content, many manufacturers achieve lower prices, but the warmth and thermoregulatory properties of the blanket are reduced.
- the wool content of a quality year-round blanket 140x200 is at least 1.6 kg and for the winter version at least 2.2 kg of pure wool
- the total weight of a quality year-round blanket 140x200 will be around 2.3 kg and the winter blanket around 2.9 kg
Care of wool blankets
- the lanolin content naturally protects the wool and the blankets are therefore easy to maintain
- regularly ventilate (turn) the blankets so that moisture can escape from them
- regularly shake and air the blankets - the wool will remain fluffy and soft
- do not wash or tumble dry blankets (have you ever seen a sheep willingly bathe?)
Bed linen for woolen blankets
- the woolen blanket must be protected against surface soiling with suitable bedding
- we recommend breathable bedding made from natural materials
- the most demanding customers use our 100% hemp or 100% linen Czech bedding
