Full Grain Cowhide Leather

Full Grain Leather is the highest quality type of leather used for the production of leather accessories. This is the upper part of the skin, which has not been treated by sanding or polishing in order to remove natural defects on the surface. Thanks to almost zero impact on the surface, full grain leather retains the highest strength and durability. No surface treatment was applied to the skin. The pores remain open in their original form and this skin is very breathable, thanks to which less moisture is created inside the leather product even during long-term contact with the skin or objects. During the life of the skin, an interesting natural patina appears on this skin. Due to the high price of this leather, only the most luxurious products are made from it. Full grain leather accounts for less than 1% of global leather production.

Hand made

The product is made with the predominant use of manual human labor, or only with minimal support for machine production. These are most often products from small companies, family factories or individual enthusiasts who have decided to go against the flow and not support mass factory production.

Natural materials

The product was made from natural materials. These products are naturally degradable and degradable in nature. By purchasing these products, you protect our planet from accumulating waste.

Recyclable

The product is easily recyclable. It can be a naturally compostable material or a product made of a material that can be reused at the end of its life.

How to care for a leather product?

In order for leather products to make you happy for as long as possible, you need to take care of them regularly. With proper care, quality leather products will last you for decades.

Cleaning of leather products:

• Regularly remove dirt from the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
• Do not use soaps or similar cleaners. When they are used, the skin dries out, which leads to faster wear and tear.
• The leather does not like soaking and wet leather must be dried slowly. Avoid drying at high temperatures (radiator, direct sunlight, hair dryer, etc.). When the leather dries quickly, it hardens and cracks! It is ideal to let the leather dry naturally at room temperature and then treat with a balm.
• We never soak and wash leather products, they would be destroyed.

Storage of leather products:

• Store leather backpacks, handbags and other accessories only in a dry place. Leather is a natural material, sensitive to long-term moisture, which can cause mold.
• Do not store products in the sun. This dries the skin and reduces its elasticity.
• The ideal place is a dry wardrobe with a lower temperature.

Leather treatment:

• The leather contains natural oils that evaporate over time. To keep the leather in its original shine and elasticity, it is necessary to treat the leather regularly.
• Twice a year, treat the leather product with leather balm. We recommend natural balms, eg based on beeswax or natural oils. There is also a large number of leather care products made from petroleum products on the market. Although these products are cheap, they are not suitable for leather treatment at all.
• This will create a fine protective film on the leather. The natural lubricating ingredients also penetrate the structure of the leather, thus keeping it in an elastic state.
• We only treat dry leather with a balm.
• Do not use waxes and shoe creams to treat leather backpacks and handbags. They have different properties than balms designed for the treatment of leather goods.
