Product made of leatherette. Synthetic leather looks like real leather, but it is a synthetic material. The advantages of leatherette include water resistance and a lower price compared to genuine leather. The disadvantage is lower mechanical resistance and a much shorter service life. Faux leather is purely synthetic and contains no parts of animal origin. That is why it is often sought after by people who recognize the vegan lifestyle. It is a two-layer material. In addition to the main fabric that forms its surface, there is primarily a covering layer that is applied to the original base and with which we come into contact. The inner fabric is usually a textile, which can be woven or non-woven. The top layer is either PVC or polyurethane, or a combination of these or with other substances added. Only this upper part resembles leather when applied to the fabric.
