Merino wool (50%)

Wool is a hollow natural fiber used for millennia to make warm clothes and household accessories. Renewable natural material ensures excellent thermal comfort, good absorbency and odorless clothing. Merino is a breed of domestic sheep valued for its fine wool. Merino wool has all the positive properties that are improved by using only extra fine sheep wool. Merino is very soft to silky to the touch, has excellent thermoregulatory properties, breathability, UV protection, antibacterial and anti-allergic effects. Merino wool can absorb moisture up to 30% of its volume. The moisture is easily heated in the wool, so there is no unpleasant, cool feeling when sweating. Thanks to its antibacterial properties, bacteria cannot easily multiply on wool fiber, so merino wool clothing does not smell even when worn for a long time. Thanks to these properties, merino wool is an excellent natural material used, for example, for socks, warm underwear, winter sweaters and wool scarves.

SilproX® Polypropylen (45%)

SilproX® is a speciall polypropylene fiber containing silver ions. Polypropylene transports moisture and silver ions slow down and limit the growth of sweat-causing bacteria by disrupting their cell wall. These properties prevent odors and the formation of mold. SilproX material can be found in antibacterial socks, underwear and other clothing, where it is necessary to guarantee antibacterial properties.

Elastan (5%)

Elastane is a synthetic material that gives your clothes flexibility and elasticity. Thanks to the elastane, the clothes hold their shape and do not pull out so easily. Clothing with elastane easily adapts to the shape of your body. Elastane also appears on the market under various trade names, such as Lycra or Spandex.

Antibacterial silver

Socks with silver molecules to eliminate unpleasant odors. The socks with antibacterial silver are best used in work shoes, sports and activities requiring all-day wear of shoes. Antibacterial silver in socks prolongs wearing time without unpleasant odor. Silver eliminates selected bacteria or reduces the multiplication of bacteria causing the breakdown of sweat and thus reduces foot odor. Silver molecules (ions) are usually firmly attached to the fiber structure. This ensures the antimicrobial properties of the material throughout its life. There are many different solutions, depending on the specific manufacturer or patent used. Silver can be added to polypropylene fibers (eg silproX), PES fibers, but also other materials. However, the principle of effectiveness remains similar.

How to extend the life of your socks?

1. After cutting the toenails, always grind with a fine file! Sharp edges on the nails in combination with the wrong size of the shoes are the most common reason for piercing the socks in the toe. If you want sharp toenails, wear kevral socks, not cotton.
2. Do not wear socks in smaller sizes. You may wear them, but excessive tension on the knit reduces the life of the socks and makes them easier to wear.
3. Wear shoes in the correct size, which is at least 5mm larger than the size of your foot. The small size of the shoes causes more intensive contact of the sock with the shoe in the area of ​​the toe and heel, where the socks are subsequently abraded faster.
4. Quality socks in low quality shoes will not have a long life. Watch the wear of the inner parts of the shoes and change the shoes in time.
5. The perforation of the socks in the heel area is 80% caused by the abrasion of the sock against the worn (rough) inner part of the shoe.
6. Store the socks in the wardrobe in an unfolded state. The popular twisting of a pair of socks into a ball and fixing with the hem of one sock reduces the elasticity of the hems over time.
