Acrylic is a textile fiber with a similar structure to wool. It is also often called "artificial wool" and is used as a substitute for wool products. The material is soft and flexible with a low tendency to pilling. Easy to wash and less coagulated. Unlike cheap sweaters, it does not irritate the skin and does not "bite".

Despite its high quality, cashmere is actually quite affordable. It is more durable than many other natural fibers, so it will last longer if properly cared for.
