Three-quarter pants are popular in warmer weather. They do not have a precise length but end in the area between the knee and ankle. In English terminology, instead of 3/4 pants, we often meet with the designation "capri pants". They are such a compromise between long pants and shorts. They hide more than shorts, but it's not as hot as in long pants. More often it is pants designed for sports or leisure activities. For long trousers, we can also encounter a cut that allows the legs to be partially folded and adjusted to 3/4 length. First emerging in the early 1900s, three-quarter pants were designed as a more comfortable and breathable alternative to the heavy wool trousers typically worn by men at the time. often made from a lighter weight cotton or linen fabric, they became popular among young men during the summer months. In Europe, they were commonly seen on sailors and fishermen, while in America they were worn by golfers and tennis players. By the 1920s, three-quarter pants had become a fashion staple for both men and women. For men, they were often worn with a blazer or sport coat for a more dressed-up look, while women could be seen pairing them with everything from sweaters to dresses. The versatile style was also popular amongst celebrities; everyone from Humphrey Bogart to Marilyn Monroe was photographed wearing them. Despite their popularity throughout the twentieth century, three-quarter pants fell out of favor in recent years. Many people consider them to be too casual for most occasions, opting instead for dressier trousers or jeans. However, there has been a resurgence of interest in vintage clothing styles recently, which has led to some designers creating modern interpretations of three-quarter pants. It is unclear if this trend will continue or if three-quarter pants will once again fade into obscurity but regardless of their current popularity (or lack thereof), it is clear that they have left an indelible mark on fashion history.

OCS blended

The Organic Content Standard blended (OCS blended) applies to any non-food product containing 5-95 percent organic material. It verifies the presence and amount of organic material in a final product. Further OCS tracks the flow of a raw material from its source to the final product. This process is then certified by an accredited third party. OCS covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution of a product that contains at least 5 percent certified ‘organic’ materials. Organic Content Standard (OCS) is a voluntary certification program that verifies the organic status of products. The OCS Blended Certification Program allows manufacturers to certify products that are made with a blend of certified organic and non-organic ingredients. This program provides flexibility for manufacturers who want to use certified organic ingredients, while still being able to source some ingredients from conventional sources. The OCS Blended Certification Program has two tiers: Tier 1 and Tier 2. To qualify for Tier 1 certification, at least 95% of the product’s content must be certified organic. For Tier 2 certification, at least 70% of the product’s content must be certified organic. Products that are certified under the OCS Blended Certification Program can use the OCS logo on their packaging. In addition, these products will be listed in the online Organic Product Directory, which helps consumers find certified organic products easily and quickly.
